Documents filed with the Zoning Commission on Thursday show plans for a 462-unit residential development with approximately 24,000 square feet of retail at 1900 Half Street SW (map). While plans are to renovate and re-use the existing office building at the address, large portions of the building will be removed in order to maximize the views of the Anacostia River.

The development, designed by Antunovich Associates, would have parking for 324 cars.
The new mixed-use project would be the second large residential development on the boards for Buzzard Point, the future home for the new DC United stadium. In January, the Washington Business Journal reported that Capital City Real Estate has a large mixed-use project on the boards for the area.
