Another food hall concept is on its way to Friendship Heights.
Wonder, the rapidly expanding meal platform, has signed on at The Residences at Mazza (map), the soon-to-open 321-unit development at the site of the former Mazza Gallerie mall. Wonder will open its doors in early 2026.
The concept takes meals from famous restaurants and chefs, including Bobby Flay and José Andrés, and makes them available in a single location for delivery, pickup, or dining in. Wonder joins a number of other retailers coming to the new development, including Total Wine & More, a fast-casual salad concept and the return of TJ Maxx.
The news of Wonder's arrival comes about a month after another food hall in the neighborhood shuttered. The Heights Food Hall above Whole Foods market closed its doors in August after a two-year run.
