This week in What X Rents You, UrbanTurf looks in the $1,500 a month range and found a variety of choices for prospective renters in DC with this monthly budget.

One-Bedroom Sublet in Two-Bedroom U Street Apartment
This is a bedroom sublet in a two-bedroom apartment in the Camden Roosevelt at 16th and V Street NW. The bedroom comes furnished with a Queen bed and dresser, and the apartment has a balcony that looks out on Meridian Hill Park. Because the building used to be a hotel, it has a fairly grand lobby, a full gym, a wine cellar, on-site dry cleaning, a 24-hour concierge, and parking. Available August 15th, the current tenant is a law student who is looking for a non-smoking young professional or graduate student who “has it together” and is clean.

One-Bedroom Apartment on Quiet Street in Glover Park
The lowest priced apartment of the three featured today, this one-bedroom in Glover Park is located about half a block from the neighborhood’s main drag and the stores, bars and restaurants that line Wisconsin Avenue. The unit has hardwood floors, a new kitchen and dishwasher, but given the rental rate and the neighborhood, this is a fairly bare-bones apartment. However, for an additional $120 a month, the renter can get a reserved off-street parking spot.

Third-Floor One-Bedroom Not Far From the Capitol

This Capitol Hill apartment is on the third floor of a four-unit building not far from the Capitol itself. There are hardwood floors, a fireplace, built-ins, a dishwasher and in the back of the building there is a shared patio for residents. The monthly rent includes utilities except for electricity and cable. The apartment is available starting August 5th, and will be shown starting Tuesday, July 26th. There is a non-refundable application fee of $30 for single applicants and $55 for couples. Pets are welcome, but for them, the fee is $75.
