In Under Contract, UrbanTurf looks back at properties it has featured over the past couple weeks to see which were snatched up by DC’s alert buyers. The listings below are either under contract or the listing status has changed to sales pending.
What $550K Buys You
The status on two properties that we featured in What $550K Buys You last week have changed from “active” to “sale pending”. Both listings were on the market for just five days at their new prices, proof of how fast homes can move following a price reduction. The two-bedroom home at 1358 North Carolina Avenue NE (see right) is just a block to the northeast of Lincoln Park and was recently renovated with a patio out back and an eat-in kitchen with a small dining nook. This two-bedroom condo at 2020 Lofts in the U Street Corridor was priced well given the location and amenities (roof deck, fitness room, parking) that the building offered, combined with the layout of the unit.
LeDroit Park Three-Bedroom Home Restored to 1905 Glory
Last week in Best New Listings, we featured a three-bedroom home on the western edge of LeDroit Park where the seller had worked with DC’s Historic Preservation office to restore the façade to resemble how it looked when the house was originally built in 1905. Apparently, that appealed to a buyer out there as the status has changed from active to pending after the home was listed for just five days. For the full listing, click here.

Deal of the Week: Competitively Priced Victorian Near Lincoln Park
UrbanTurf’s Deal of the Week from a couple weeks ago, a three-bedroom, two-bath home not too far from Eastern Market, lasted just about 16 days on the market. Over 100 people stopped by the first open house at 16 10th Street NE to check out the property’s combined kitchen-dining room area and the home’s outdoor space, which includes a rear deck that overlooks a back patio and a small roof deck that looks out at the gardens of the neighboring houses. The listing also has a lower level in-law suite with front and rear entrances that currently rents for $1,200 a month. For the full listing, click here.

Largest Condo in Columbia Heights Verona Park Project
For about four months, this three-bedroom penthouse in Columbia Heights sat on the market with no offers, but following a slight price change, it is now under contract and the buyer will have the unit’s 800 square-foot private deck (see above) as a venue to entertain guests. The two-level condo, which we featured about three weeks ago, also boasts the largest floorplan in the Verona Park condo project on Euclid Street.
