Tuesday's Deal of the Week: $200K Studio in Dupont Circle

Some home buyers must live near the lively part of a city, regardless of the compromises that they may have to make. This week’s Deal of the Week is chosen with that type of buyer in mind.
This Dupont Circle studio hit the market about two days ago, and at $207,000 it is one of the least expensive in the neighborhood, and at 362 square feet it is also one of the smallest. (Note: We were only able to find two smaller units on the market in the whole city.) The sixth floor efficiency makes up for its small size (a Murphy bed folds up into the wall) with large windows and a decent-sized kitchen. There is also a community roof deck if you find yourself getting claustrophobic. Despite its size, the buyer will be in one of DC’s more popular neighborhoods, and not paying through the nose to live there: the monthly mortgage payments are about $900. More photos and info below. 1825 T Street NW, #603 (see map here)
Here are some monthly payment calculations based on a 20 percent down payment and a 30-year fixed rate mortgage at 5.125%.
