1441 Florida Avenue NW
Finding a true contemporary condo amidst historic row houses is always a treat, so UrbanTurf was excited when we spotted this listing hidden on a leafy section of Florida Avenue.
The two-bedroom unit is in The Hillsborough, an office building built in the 1970’s that converted to condos in 2003. The six homes all have floor-to-ceiling windows and the clean lines you might expect from contemporary architecture. And apparently, the scenery is as good as it seems in the pictures.
Kitchen
“The windows and views are stunning,” said Nathan Payne, the current owner. The living room and balcony look south across Florida Avenue, making for a sunny indoor environment year-round.
Living Area
Another appealing feature of this unit is the entrance: the elevator opens right into the living area. (Payne deemed the private elevator access “just cool.”) With its cool features and contemporary design, This Week’s Find has been a popular listing since it hit the market last week. The agent tells us it has already gotten three offers.
