If This Week's Find resembles a corner store to you, that's because it once was.
Originally constructed in 1913, this former Hill East store has been converted into a residence, yet still retains much of its commercial character. A semi-circular set of steps lead up to the front door, which enters into an open concept living space. On either side of the front door, wide bumpouts with trios of picture windows create interior recesses, one of which has a bench built in.

Past the living area with its exposed brick wall, the kitchen mixes modern style with farmhouse flair, housing a six-eye stovetop beneath a hood across from a waterfall island under a stepladder strung as a light fixture. The adjacent dining area also has a recessed nook with picture windows, sitting across from an exposed red brick wall.
A second entrance sits in the mudroom beyond the dining area, while the exposed red brick follows the wall into a den with a powder room on one side and up the stairwell on the other, also revealing where an old window was bricked over.
On the carpeted upstairs level, the owner's bedroom has double exposure and a built-in shelving/desk nook. The en-suite bath has double sinks and a side-by-side tub and shower stall separated by a subway-tiled partition. The second bedroom also has an en-suite bath with a glass block-partitioned shower stall.
A den off the hallway provides access to a roof deck. There is also an unfinished basement which adds another few hundred square feet of bonus space.
The most unique aspect of the property is that it still includes a commercial component, specifically space that used to house a pretzel bakery. This space has both connected interior access via the basement and a separate entrance on 15th Street, along with its own half-bath and a patio area outside the front door.
