The Price of a Frank Lloyd Wright-Inspired Abode Revealed: Figure 1

Late last week, we asked readers to guess the price of a home designed by an apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright in Illinois. Here is a brief description of the property for those that missed the post:

Located on two five acre lots, this property includes a house and separate coach house totaling 7,000 square feet. With a Jamaican tile roof and an indoor pool, the home seems like it would be a better fit in Santa Barbara than Illinois. The property, which was designed by an architect that spent a number of years as an apprentice to Frank Lloyd Wright, has experienced numerous price reductions and is now listed for about a quarter of the original asking price.

So how much would you have to plunk down for this property? Well, gauging the current asking price was not an easy feat for this one. After originally being listed for just south of $4 million, the price on this Barrington, Illinois home has plummeted to its current asking price of $1 million. Hard to believe, we know, but here is the listing as proof.

The guesses ranged from a low of $950,000 to a high of $2.6 million. Congratulations to Nikola for getting closest with a guess of $950,000.
