One of the city’s most beloved alley communities is home to a new boutique condominium.
The Matthew is a nine-residence property located on Shaw’s 9th Street, overlooking the iconic Naylor Court and neighbor to Blagden Alley. Sales for The Matthew just launched and the property is move-in ready. Pricing ranges from the mid $400s to $1.2M.
The Matthew has two model homes available to tour by appointment, and will be hosting an open house on Saturday, March 23rd, from noon to 2pm.
The Matthew includes a variety of junior one-bedroom, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and two-bedroom and den residences, ranging in size up to 1,284 square feet. Interiors are all open concept and traditional in style, with an industrial edge that includes details like iron staircases, floor-ceiling-windows and large balconies (in the upper units).
All of the homes feature nine-foot ceilings and are full of natural light. Finishes include solid core wood doors, comfort control thermostats, full-sized washers and dryers, solid quartz countertops, sleek dark brown cabinetry and under-cabinet lighting. The homes also feature four-piece Samsung appliance packages, as well as recessed and pendant lighting.
Some of the cellar level units have small terraces, and two garage parking spaces are available for sale to the owners of the two largest residences.
The Matthew is perfectly situated for running neighborhood errands. Located in Shaw, it is close to the U Street and 14th Street Corridors, Logan Circle, Adams Morgan, Mt. Vernon Square and all of downtown. It is also adjacent to the Mt. Vernon Square Metro station. In addition to dozens of shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes in Shaw, neighboring Blagden Alley is DC’s definitive foodie destination, featuring Michelin starred restaurants.
