We are getting a better look at one of the largest condo projects on the boards in Virginia.
As part of its latest presentation to Arlington County's Site Plan Review Committee, Taicoon Property Partners has submitted new renderings for the seven-story, 88-unit luxury condominium project it has on the boards for 1501 Langston Boulevard (map).
The WDG Architecture-designed building will take the place of a vacant office building that served as home to the Air & Space Forces Association for 40 years. Given the former use, Taicoon is planning a 1,300 square-foot Air Force Heritage Gallery and museum on the ground floor of the development which will include meeting and event space open to residents and community groups.
Another interesting aspect of the new development will be the size of the planned condos. Unlike many new residential developments in the region, the majority of units at the project will be two- and three-bedrooms.

Taicoon also plans to widen portions of the Custis Trail that runs along the north side of Langston Boulevard, and also remove a portion of the sound barrier wall on one side of the trail.
