Minimalist Architecture Around the U.S.

On this rainy Friday afternoon, we take a quick departure from our regular DC coverage to highlight a recent Wall Street Journal article that looks at interesting ways that minimalist design is used in three homes in Los Angeles, New York and Boston.
The full article complete with drool-inducing photos can be viewed here. Among the usual details about each of the properties, the Journal also includes the closest place to get a cup of coffee, and today’s forecast in each locale, just to make us jealous. (Surprisingly, the weather in Los Angeles is very similar to that in DC.)
Our favorite is this 1.4-acre home just outside of Boston, but we imagine that opinions will vary widely. Which one do you like?
