It has been a couple years since UrbanTurf examined the cost of a parking spot in Washington, DC. So today, we decided to look again at the current market price for a parking place in neighborhoods around the city.
The average price for a parking spot in DC really hasn't changed much over the last decade. That average hovers somewhere around $25,000-$30,000, going up and down based on the neighborhood.
Based on our research, Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom boast some of the highest prices for individual spaces. The lowest prices for spots are found in Columbia Heights and Brookland.
Here’s a sampling of what we found on the market:
- $11,500 for a small garage space in Columbia Heights.
- $16,000 for a garage parking space in Brookland.
- $40,000 for a garage space in Dupont Circle.
- $42,000 for a garage space in Logan Circle.
- $50,000 for a garage space in Foggy Bottom.
- $90,000 for a full garage in Adams Morgan.
Like listing prices, the number of days that these spaces have been on the market vary significantly, ranging from a week to almost two years. The most expensive parking spot to sell in the city over the last year was a $53,000 space in Adams Morgan.
