The last few deals that we have featured have been on Capitol Hill and in Mount Pleasant, so we decided to head to the upper reaches of NW after getting word that there was a well-priced listing on the market in American University Park.

This four-bedroom colonial has been extensively renovated over the past eight months and has all new bathrooms, kitchen and electrical and HVAC systems. In addition to a living room on the main floor (see above), the home has a small family room off the kitchen, a rec room in the basement and a screened porch on the main level.

It has been on the market for just over a week and has already received over ten offers. The interest this house has drummed up among buyers is likely due to the fact that the asking price is well below that of recent comparable sales in the neighborhood. A four-bedroom home just down the block, that needed work but had parking, sold a couple months ago for $100,000 more than the asking price of this house.
