1910 Restored Three-Bedroom Wardman in Columbia Heights
If you are driving along Park Road from 14th to 13th Street in Columbia Heights, Holmead Place shoots off to the left and is where this three-bedroom listing is located. Many renovations in this area are complete gut jobs, but this home was rehabbed while maintaining a lot of its century-old features including the exposed brick, doors, transoms, and crown molding. The basement of the home has been fully renovated, there is a large landscaped backyard, a bluestone patio and parking for two cars.

Three-Level One-Bedroom Shaw Row House
We have written about one-bedroom houses in DC and how they cater to a specific buyer, so we were excited to learn more about this three-level, one-bedroom row house in Shaw when it went on the market a few days ago. The first floor of the 1,450 square-foot listing has a kitchen that has been updated with concrete counters and energy-efficient appliances, and there is also a dining area that includes a salvaged church pew. (The first floor also has a den and a half bathroom.) The second level consists of a living room that looks down into the kitchen as well as space that could serve as a second bedroom, and the third floor is where the bedroom is located, as well as a wood-burning fireplace and a bathroom. The row house is surrounded by a yard that includes a small brick patio.

1920s Three-Bedroom Bungalow in Takoma Park
This Takoma Park three-bedroom bungalow was built in the late 1920’s, but a second floor addition built in recent years expanded the home’s living space (see large master bedroom above). The house also has a front porch, an updated kitchen, and a small office area. There is a fenced-in yard in back as well as off-street parking.
