$80,000 Over Asking After a Week on the Market in Chevy Chase
This 4,100 square-foot home is just off Military Road in Chevy Chase DC, and its curb appeal and nicely-finished interior probably had a lot to do with its quick sale and rapid rise above the $1.475 million listing price. Inside, the home has a bright, modern ground floor laid out for formal entertaining, along with an eat-in kitchen. The bedrooms are upstairs, and two are attached via a bright study/den. Outside is an elevated back deck as well as a patio, and there is a one-bedroom in-law suite on the first level.

Above Asking on Meridian Place
This Columbia Heights rowhome went a little more than $30,000 over list after a week on the market. It likely drew in a buyer with the expansive (and expensive) kitchen, which has plenty of counter space, and the lower level, which features a bar space with a sink for entertaining and a redone bathroom. Out back is a small deck and a yard with room for outdoor dining. It’s just off 14th Street and an easy walk to the Columbia Heights Metro.

- Asking Price: $699,555
- Sold Price: $733,000
