The final Planned Unit Development (PUD) application for a major mixed-use development at 50 Florida Avenue NE has been submitted, Bloomingdale blog is reporting.
We last reported on this project a little over two years ago, when B&B Realty Investment purchased the 62,000 square-foot warehouse at the address.
Now, B&B seems to have finalized their plans. According to the PUD, the nine-story project will have 182 residential units (one-bedrooms, one-bedroom plus dens, two-bedrooms, and two-bedroom plus dens), and 210 parking spaces, which will also be utilized by a few retail spaces on the project’s ground floor. WDG Architecture designed the project.

The Eckington neighborhood is filled with row houses, but this project will join a few other large multi-family buildings that are popping up in the area.
The newly constructed Trilogy in Eckington (some consider the area to be the northern edge of NoMA) will have a total of 603 apartments in three buildings. And, at the eastern corner of the nearby intersection of New York Avenue and Florida Avenue is the Washington Gateway complex, currently under construction. Washington Gateway will have a total of 262 rental units as well as two office buildings, a public plaza, 100,000 square feet of retail, and a 180-room hotel.
