112 Apartments and 19 Townhouses Planned for Arlington Boulevard: Figure 1
Rendering of the proposed Trenton Street Residences

Nearly four acres of residential development is being proposed for a former Red Cross site on Arlington Boulevard.

Wesley Housing Development Corporation has applied to up-zone the properties at 15 and 19 North Trenton Street and 4333 Arlington Boulevard (map) to deliver the Trenton Street Residences, a five-story multifamily residential building alongside 19 three-story townhouses.

The multifamily building would contain 112 apartments atop three parking levels with 102 vehicular spaces. Ten of the apartments will be set aside as affordable housing. The townhouses will sit in two rows alongside the apartment building, with a proposed private street off North Trenton Street separating the two. An alley off the private street will provide access to the two-car garages inside the townhouses.

Eleven of the townhouses will be 16 foot-wide two-bedroom homes with 1.5 bathrooms and a loft; the remainder will be 20 feet wide and will have three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a loft. Bonstra | Haresign is the development architect.

The Arlington County Planning Board Site Plan Review Committee will review the proposal on October 2nd.
