Renovated Four-Bedroom Row House in Pleasant Plains

Located in Pleasant Plains, a block from the McMillan Reservoir, this four-bedroom row house has a warm, renovated interior. The home’s improvements came in 2008, and it now has hardwood floors and an updated kitchen, bathrooms and backyard. Some of the bedrooms are pretty small, but there are a number of cool extra spaces in the house, like an office area between the dining room and kitchen, and an in-law suite downstairs with a full kitchen. UrbanTurf’s favorite feature is the fireplace-turned-china cabinet in the dining room.

Five-Bedroom Colonial in Montgomery Village

This five-bedroom house is in Montgomery Village, a planned community near Gaithersburg with shared amenities like tennis courts, rec centers and an amphitheater that was built in the 1960s. The home has a traditional appeal — molding, fireplaces and carpeting — as well as suburban trademarks like a fenced-in lawn, a huge garage, and a laundry chute. The lower level is finished and opens up to the backyard, while the deck off of the main level overlooks the yard.

One-Bedroom at the Watergate

A unit is available at the iconic Watergate, built in 1968 and designed by prominent architect Luigi Moretti. At 1,115 square feet, the one-bedroom coop feels spacious, contemporary and light-filled with an open living area lined with giant windows and sliding doors that lead to a balcony. The HOA fees are a staggering $2,180 per month, but the unit comes with garage parking and ample amenities like a 24-hour front desk, a doorman and a pool. While it is in an historic building, the one-bedroom may not have the cachet of this apartment associated with the famous scandal.
