This week in What X Rents You, UrbanTurf looked in the $2,400 to $2,700 a month range and found a variety of choices for DC renters with this monthly budget.

Two-Bedroom at The Macklin in Cleveland Park

This two-bedroom, one-bath apartment is located in The Macklin, a renovated boutique apartment building on Newark Street in Cleveland Park. The third-floor unit is available immediately, and features heart of pine floors, an in-unit washer/dryer, a renovated kitchen and large windows that look out onto Connecticut Avenue. The Macklin is well-situated close to the neighborhood’s commercial stretch that runs from Porter to Newark Street along Connecticut Avenue, and it is a four-minute walk from the Cleveland Park Metro station on the Red Line.

Three-Bedroom Duplex With Hot Tub and Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water

This three-bedroom home in 16th Street Heights has a couple of features that caught UrbanTurf’s eye. While they would not be used on days like today, the house has a hot tub and a sauna (as well as two large decks and a private backyard which are appropriate summer amenities). The rental also offers “reverse osmosis drinking water” for its tenants, which is essentially water that has been filtered extensively. The duplex has been renovated and has a wood-burning fireplace, a large eat-in kitchen, central A/C, a full-size washer/dryer, and a cleaning service that comes twice a month appears to be included in the rent. The property is not very close to the Metro, though, and those who smoke or have pets need not apply.

NoMa One-Bedroom Plus Den in Luxury Building

The lowest-priced option in this feature, this 1,032 square-foot one-bedroom, plus den apartment is located at the new Loree Grand on K Street NE, and is available immediately. The apartment has one of the larger and more open floorplans in the project, as well as floor-to-ceilings windows, and a private balcony. The Loree Grand offers a slew of resident amenities including a fitness center, 24-hour concierge, an iMac-equipped business center, a large courtyard and rooftop terrace, and guest suites for residents. The building is also 100% smoke-free.
