This installment of What X Buys rounds up some options for prospective homebuyers in the DC area on a $350,000 budget.

A One-Bedroom Above Bloomingdale

This one-bedroom unit is on the top floor of a boutique building in Bloomingdale, offering rooftop views of the neighborhood. Just past the entryway, the one-wall kitchen has a hood concealed above the stove and a combination washer/dryer. Exposed brick lines most of the adjacent wall, and the far wall in the living space has a large cut-out below the ceiling. This wall also conceals the bedroom, which has triple exposure and a wall of open built-in storage. In the bathroom, white square tiles line the walls surrounding the tub, where a narrow window creates a deep shelf. The unit also comes with a deeded parking space and the building has a shared roof terrace.
