On Wednesday, ANC 2B voted unanimously in support of the final design for the 71-unit condo project on the boards for near the Tabard Inn, clearing the way for Historic Preservation approval later this month and a groundbreaking next spring.
In advance of their final necessary approval from the Historic Preservation Office, the team behind the project known as N Street Follies came to the ANC on Wednesday night to seek neighborhood approval. In addition to gaining the support of the ANC, the team received the backing of the Dupont Circle Conservancy on Tuesday night.

Since we reported on the project last year, a few revisions have been made: the number of units increased from 68 to 71, and the design of the addition has been altered.
The development consists of the restoration of six boarded up rowhouses, spanning 1745 to 1755 N Street NW, and a six-story addition to the rear. The units in the existing buildings will be large, Jeff Goins of PGN Architects told UrbanTurf, ranging up to 1,300 square feet. The addition will house smaller units.
An underground parking garage with 30 spaces and a large, private courtyard complete the project.
