711 E Street NE
As we have written previously, one-bedroom houses are a rare niche product of 19th century DC, built to house workers who needed small, cheap living options. This Week’s Find is a one-bedroom house that will likely be purchased by a more modern type of worker who now lives in the city.

711 E Street NE is a one-story home that used to be a storefront decades ago. The property largely consists of a deep living room with oak floors and a fireplace, and a small bedroom and kitchen. The prized feature of the listing may be the deep backyard that leads to a small shed. One of the previous owners turned the home into a live-work space and we could see the eventual buyer doing the same thing.
