132 Rhode Island Avenue NW
As Bloomingdale’s retail scene has expanded, many now flock to the intersection of 1st and Rhode Island NW for food, drinks and yoga classes. This Week’s Find is a hidden destination that many have passed on their way there.
The geometric wooden sculpture that sits outside of 132 Rhode Island Avenue hints at what lies inside: the three-bedroom rowhouse serves as both a home and an art gallery.

Michael Little opened up the NOA Gallery in 1978. He has merged his home and gallery space, so pieces of art hang above the couch and in various rooms throughout the first and second floors. He lives amidst dozens of prints, paintings and sculptures.
The home will hit the market on Tuesday. Prospective buyers will have the option to purchase some of the available art, along with the home, if they so desire. Little does not plan to continue the gallery at his next home.

In addition to the art, the listing has a rooftop deck next to an enclosed hot tub, and several finished sitting areas. The basement is set up as a workshop, currently being used to prepare art. More photos and details below.
