This Week's Find offers a bit different fare than is usually seen in this feature.
DC's Intown Uptown Inn has hit the market, an early 20th century Victorian house in 16th Street Heights with 24 rooms and a carriage house. The property is being sold furnished and has long operated (and can continue to operate) as a highly-rated bed and breakfast.

The traditionally-styled interior includes tall windows and ceiling heights of up to 12 feet, along with turrets, bay windows, chandeliers, and gas fireplaces with tiled surrounds and wooden mantels with mirrors. Just past the vestibule, the entry hall has wooden pocket doors on either side, leading to a library on one side and a living room on the other.

The formal dining room has sliding glass doors out to a rear porch, which has steps down to a deck and looks toward the carriage house. The dining room is also open to the adjacent sitting room, which has stained wooden beams accenting the ceiling. Downstairs, the chef's kitchen has wood beams across the ceiling, overhead wine glass storage, a commercial oven and a breakfast bar.

On the second floor, the bedroom suites have names like "Wysteria", "Corleone" and "Uptown" stamped onto the transom windows above each door. The Hollywood suite enjoys a curved wall from the turret, while the Jewell suite on the fourth floor has a vaulted ceiling, a skylight and a four-poster bed. Also on the third floor, "A Room with a View" has access to a private balcony and a deep archway leading into a sitting/dressing room with trundle bed and mirrored closet doors.
