A Mount Pleasant home that recently went under contract after five days on the market.
Last year, UrbanTurf looked at the ten DC zip codes where homes were selling fastest. This year, with the DC market continuing to outpace the market in 2014, we did the same analysis on advertised subdivisions using data from RealEstate Business Intelligence (RBI).
Like last year, we used the metric for median days on market to exclude major anomalies and only looked at neighborhoods with about 20 sales or more. In every neighborhood but one, we found homes selling faster than last year, and in many cases significantly faster.

Here’s the data:

Homes are selling the fastest in Mount Pleasant, where listings are lasting on the market for only about six days. Homes in Bloomingdale, AU Park and Dupont Circle are selling in a week. Logan Circle is the only neighborhood on the list where homes are taking a bit longer to sell this year, up to 10 days from seven in 2014.
