The Residences at Liberty Center: Comfortable Convenience With a View

Located about four blocks from the Ballston Metro, Liberty Center’s biggest selling point may be its proximity to everyday conveniences. During a walk from the Metro, this author passed five nail salons, six deli/sandwich shops and five dry cleaners, all of which reminded him of the Upper West Side in Manhattan. Admittedly that comparison could be a stretch for some, so if that does not sell you on the development, perhaps the view above of the DC skyline from the development’s roof will.
Living Space
Liberty Center is a 21-story, 233-unit luxury condo development. It has approximately 28 one and two-bedroom units remaining, most of which have very open floorplans similar to almost any new condo development on the market right now. Prices range from $360,000 for a 700 square-foot one-bedroom to $685,900 for a 1,250 square-foot two-bedroom with den unit. HOA fees range from $349 to $591 a month and include water.
Kitchen at Liberty Center
Two levels of furnishings are being offered at Liberty Center. Standard apartments are equipped with 42-inch maple cabinets, granite kitchen counters with ceramic backsplash, GE Profile appliances, 8 to 9-foot granite kitchen islands with 10-inch overhangs for bar stools and bathrooms with granite vanity tops, ceramic flooring and separate deep soaking tub and glass enclosed showers with rainfall showerheads.
The 20th floor and penthouse levels sport upgrade packages including stainless steel Miele chimney hoods, cook-tops and dishwashers, Bosch convection ovens, Sub-Zero refrigerators and Snaidero cabinets.
Building Amenities
Liberty Center’s best amenities may be the rooftop pool and deck, which has 360-degree views of Washington and Northern Virginia. However, the development has most anything else that an amenity-minded condo buyer would want including a fitness center, a ground-level garden with grilling facilities, a common room with plasma screen TV and fireplace, controlled access parking, and a 24-hour staffed front desk.

All units are sold with at least one parking space, with an additional space available for purchase. Access to Routes 50 and 66 are an approximate three-minute drive.
Liberty Center is four blocks from the Ballston Metro stop on the Orange Line. The Metro is a hub for many bus lines including WMATA’s 38B to Farragut Square and the Route 1 bus covering points west along Wilson Boulevard as far as Vienna.
