An exclusive collection of apartment residences is now leasing at one of Union Market’s newest and most thoughtfully designed buildings.
Margarite is a luxury 260-apartment property known for offering rich, high-end residences complemented by intimate amenities, open-air entertainment spaces, and thoughtful resident services. Margarite’s 1280 Collection of executive residences consists of just 28 spacious three-bedroom residences and multi-level penthouses that have become an appealing alternative to condominium living.
Margarite, derived from the Greek work for “pearl”, was named after its architectural story. Resembling the shell of an oyster, the building’s masonry acts as a protective layer around an inner glass façade, which cradles the beautifully landscaped Neal Place Park, a new community park created by Grosvenor. The 1280 Collection offers soaring views overlooking both the park and the entirety of DC through floor-to-ceiling windows; many of the residences also boast sizable rooftop terraces and 360-degree views of the city.
Eighteen of The 1280 Collection units are penthouses ranging from one-bedrooms to three-bedrooms, and measuring up to 1,686 square feet. Nearly half of the penthouses are already leased. The remainder of the collection is made up of luxurious three-bedroom residences spanning up to 1,621 square feet.
The apartments at Margarite are spacious and include flexible living spaces. Residents can expect custom Italian cabinetry, seamlessly integrated designer appliances, large walk-in closets with custom built-ins, spa-like bathrooms, double vanity sinks, hidden solar privacy shades, full size in-unit washers/dryers, white oak plank flooring, and many other details that have been tailored for those with the most discerning taste.
Amenities for Margarite residents are designed to enrich daily life and offer a tranquil sanctuary in the city. In additional to Neal Place Park, residents enjoy a private third floor garden with lounge seating and park views, as well as a rooftop terrace featuring a club room, chef’s kitchen, grilling stations, fire pits and lounge seating. There is also a fitness center with Peloton Bikes and a private yoga studio; a library, lounge and co-working space; and a pet spa. The building also includes 162 private, secured parking spaces and storage for 135 bikes.
Located within the heart of Union Market, Margarite offers residents unparalleled access to this authentic and lively neighborhood best known for its vibrant food market, dynamic art scene and wide selection of renowned restaurants and retailers.
