This March marked the grand opening of Foxhall Ridge, a new development of 32 luxury townhomes in DC’s Palisades. The Palisades is a historic neighborhood known for its small-town charm and scenic views of the Potomac River -- and with few new builds, Foxhall Ridge is quickly becoming one of the area’s hottest real estate developments.
Though the builder has already released 17 homes for sale (with the remaining 15 to be released for sale in 17 months), this weekend interested buyers will have the opportunity to tour the first fully furnished ultra-chic Augusta Model, at The Terraces.
The Terraces are one of two distinct townhome styles available at Foxhall Ridge. Built in the brownstone tradition, The Terraces range in size from 3,000 to 4,300 square feet, with bedrooms as large as 20-by-17 square feet. The Enclave townhomes are built in the Federal style of the late 1700s and come in just shy of 2,100 square feet.
Each home at Foxhall Ridge has oak hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and cabinetry from Cardell. Many of the townhomes have features that city dwellers count as luxuries: great rooms, terraces with double-sided fireplaces, two-car garages and rooftop decks with sweeping views of DC’s skyline. And with The Terraces, homeowners even have the option of adding an elevator.
Energy conservation and green space were central when the architects were designing Foxhall Ridge. Though the townhomes are large and spacious, all exterior walls have foam insulation that eliminates drafts and reduces energy consumption, keeping the homes warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Trees line the streets of the community, and there are several private gardens and a central courtyard.
Foxhall Ridge is located less than a mile from Georgetown’s high-end boutiques and restaurants as well as the C&O Canal, a picturesque walkway ideal for walking and biking. In the opposite direction, MacArthur Boulevard has a quaint commercial area with a number of highly-praised restaurants, including Black Salt and Makoto.
The Terraces -- three of which are currently available for Spring 2012 move-in -- range in price from $1,579,850 to $1,675,910, and The Enclave townhomes range in price from $944,990 to $1,057,490. All are available for sale pre-build out.
To get a first look at the lavishly decorated Augusta model, Foxhall Ridge is holding an open house this Saturday and Sunday (4/21 and 4/22) from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
