Last month, a 6,100 square-foot Georgetown condo set a resale record in DC after selling for $8 million. Now, a new 10-year record has been set in the DC area.
Two adjacent penthouse condos at the gated 50-unit Quarry Springs development in Bethesda sold in January, and the purchaser's plans to combine the two will set a ten-year record for the largest condo purchase in the DC area. The condos were listed with Zelda Heller of Long & Foster.

The sales price was $6.25 million, giving the completed unit a per square-foot price of $732. The aggregate square footage is 8,315 square feet of interior space and a 1,947 square-foot outdoor terrace wrapping three sides.
The condo has private elevator access and takes up half of the top floor in its building, overlooking Cabin John Stream Valley Park. It has five bedrooms with en-suites, two half-baths and separate staff quarters.
