In Price Cutter this week, we highlight recent price reductions on a two-bedroom condo in a Dupont Circle brownstone and a three-bedroom modern home reminiscent of Cameron’s house in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Second Floor Two-Bedroom Condo in Dupont Circle Brownstone

We featured this two-bedroom Dupont Circle condo back in December as a Best New Listing and were surprised to learn that it hasn’t sold yet. Usually when a property of this size in the area is priced below $600,000 these days, the square footage is fairly small or the monthly fees are fairly high. With this listing, on the second floor of an N Street brownstone, neither of those hold true. The 1,000 square-foot unit has high ceilings, hardwood floors and a large set of bay windows, in addition to two fairly large bedrooms. While it doesn’t come with a parking space, the condo fee is fairly modest at $240/month. The recent $40,000 price reduction will likely catch the eye of some buyer out there. - Address: 2117 N Street NW, #3 (map)
- Original Price: $539,000
- Current Price: $499,900
- Bedrooms: Two

A Modern Home Where the Art Collection Does Not Convey
The price of the house that we said was reminiscent of the garage where Cameron’s dad stores his Ferrari in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was recently reduced by about $45,000. The comparison was admittedly a bit of a stretch, but the three-bedroom property’s design (by a protege of German architect Mies van der Rohe) and its all glass rear wall makes it stand out along Arizona Avenue. As we noted in our original post about the property, the seller has amassed a pretty cool art collection that, unfortunately, does not convey with the property. For the full listing, click here.
- Address: 3025 Arizona Avenue NW (map)
- Original Price: $1,295,000
- Current Price: $1,250,000
- Bedrooms: Three
- Bathrooms: Three
- Year Built: 1961
