A planned unit development (PUD) was filed late Monday for a 28 to 33-unit residential project in Shaw.
Oak Tree Building Group is planning to build the residential development at 1126 9th Street NW (map). The two plans proposed in the PUD are a 28-unit development with 7,640 square feet of retail space on the ground and second floors or a 33-unit development with 3,700 square feet of commercial space on the ground and second floors. The development is designed by Peter Fillat Architects.

The nine-story, mixed-use project would include units sized at about 700 square feet with larger condos on the upper floors. It would have just two parking spaces, though eight are required. Following approval of the PUD and building permits, construction would take a little over a year.
