After leaving the White House, the Obamas will rent a nine-bedroom mansion in Kalorama, UrbanTurf has learned. The home spreads out over 8,200 square feet and is owned by Glover Park Group founder Joe Lockhart.
In January, West Wing Reports tweeted that the first family would stay in DC until their youngest daughter Sasha finishes high school in three years. The home has a deep backyard, a large space for parking, a number of entertaining areas and it is set back on a secluded street off of Massachusetts Avenue.
The First Family’s new abode is a half mile from the Clintons’ home in DC, and is a substantial step up from President Obama’s first digs in the city.
