The pace at which a new community of homes sells is a great indicator of desirability. So when Ballston Green, a new community in Arlington, was 60% sold before its grand opening (and even before construction was completed), prospective buyers took note.
Ballston Green — built by local developer Madison Homes — consists of 28 high-end rowhouses near a major intersection of Arlington’s popular Ballston neighborhood (map). Sales are being handled by McWilliams Ballard and, so far, 18 of the homes are now sold, leaving 10 homes still on the market, with Spring 2014 move-in dates. A model for the remaining homes is slated to open on Saturday, September 14th, between 12pm and 4pm.
Ballston Green homes will have classic brick facades and contemporary interiors with high-end finishes like hardwood floors, granite countertops, GE Café Series appliances and maple wood cabinets. Interiors can be completely personalized, with custom flooring, cabinetry options and whole-house sound systems.
All of the homes are four stories and feature large master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, terraces, two-car garages and recreational rooms. One of the most intriguing rooms will be the 4th-floor loft: a versatile space with vaulted ceilings and tons of natural light. Ballston Green homes measure at around 2,300 square feet and are priced starting at $899,000.
The community is located near the popular intersection of Wilson Boulevard and North Glebe Road—just four blocks from the Ballston Metro station (Orange Line) and a couple blocks from nearly two dozen restaurants (The Front Page, Il Forno), bars (World of Beer, The Green Turtle), movie theaters, grocery stores and a farmer’s market. Ballston Green is also in close proximity to Metro’s forthcoming Silver Line, which will connect downtown and Southwest DC with Tysons Corner and beyond.
