Plans are in the works for a new office project in Northern Virginia.

JBG Smith has filed a conceptual site plan application with Arlington County for a new office building at 1800 South Bell Street (map). The development would replace the existing office building at the site, which Amazon leased through last year.

The concept submitted by JBG Smith calls for a 15-story office building and penthouse, with retail on the ground floor. The existing underground garage would be remain. UrbanTurf reached out to JBG representatives for additional details, but did not immediately hear back.

The plans for the redevelopment of 1800 South Bell Street have been in the works for some time. In an earnings report last year, JBG Smith noted that the building was one of a handful of properties that would be entitled for other uses when the Amazon lease ended.
