The plan is to construct a 5-story wood-framed building on the 27,875 square-foot surface parking lot at 218 Vine Street NW (map), a couple blocks south of the Takoma Metro station. The building will deliver 114 residential units across five floors and the penthouse, as well as a below-grade parking level with 39 spaces accessible off Maple Street NW.

The building, designed by KTGY Architecture + Planning, would be constructed with brick masonry and cementitious panels and siding. There will be a courtyard and amenity space on the ground floor, as well as indoor/outdoor amenity space on the penthouse level.
The design will likely go before ANC 4B and the Historic Preservation Review Board later this month.
