68-Unit Dupont Circle Condo Project Approved, Construction Begins in 2013: Figure 1

A 68-unit condo project adjacent to Dupont Circle’s Tabard Inn received unanimous concept approval from the Historic Preservation Review Board on Thursday and will break ground in 2013, UrbanTurf has learned.

We first wrote about the project, dubbed N Street Follies, in October. Since then, Innovative Development Group and PGN Architects have increased the size of the project, from 64 to 68 units. N Street Follies will be located just to the west of the Tabard Inn (map).

Six vacant row houses, which have been boarded up for over a decade, will be restored, with the developers preserving historic details like fireplaces. Additionally, a new six-story building will be built behind the row houses. An underground parking garage with 46 spaces and a large, private courtyard complete the project. N Street Follies will break ground next year.
