This Saturday, Comstock Homes is hosting a Grand Opening Event to celebrate the debut of The Hampshires, one of DC’s largest new communities in the Lamond Riggs neighborhood. The event will run from 12:00pm to 2:30pm at The Hampshires (map) and will include a 1:00pm ribbon cutting with Ward 4 Councilmember Muriel Bowser.
Visitors will have the chance to tour four models: two single-family homes and two brand new townhomes. For those with kids in tow, there will be a bubble machine, glitter tattoo artists and a balloon twister—and the event will be catered by Uncle Julio’s Rio Grande. Comstock debuted 38 single-family homes at The Hampshires last September, and more than half have sold. Saturday's grand opening will showcase an additional 73 townhomes, which are now underway.

The townhomes range in size from 1,800 to 2,000 square feet and include either three or four bedrooms, gourmet kitchens with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, upgraded cabinetry and open floor plans with generous room sizes. The larger, four-story townhomes have rooftop terraces and roomy loft spaces. Many of the homes come with garages.

The homes also include large third floor retreats, fenced-in rear yards and two-car garages.
The townhomes at The Hampshires start at $499,900 and the single-family homes start at $679,900.

The Lamond Riggs neighborhood sits between Manor Park and the DC/Maryland border, with Takoma Metro station less than a mile to the north and Fort Totten station about a mile south. The neighborhood is known for its suburban feel, with lots of long-time residents and plenty of green space. Nearby shops include Giant Food, Shoprite and the boutique shops of Takoma Park.
Head over to the grand opening this Saturday for more information about The Hampshires. If you can't make it, visit the Comstock website here, or contact sales representative Debbie Warford by email. You can also request additional information here.
