Anna and Dan Kahoe, the owners of U Street vintage and antique shop Good Wood, are partnering on a condo project that will sit adjacent to their Blagden Alley carriage house.
The couple, along with S2 Development, is developing a three-unit condo project in front of the carriage house that has been featured in a number of local publications and even hosts supper clubs from time to time.

The project at 1225 10th Street NW (map) breaks ground this week after receiving approval from the city’s Historic Preservation Review Board earlier this year. The condos will be bounded by 10th Street NW in the front and Blagden Alley in the rear, and are expected to be complete by mid to late-2015.
“For the new homes, we want to bring the sense of wow and wonderment that guests get when they are at our carriage house while also realizing that not everyone is as bohemian as we are,” Anna Kahoe wrote to UrbanTurf. “So there will be microwaves and bedrooms with doors but there will be design elements that people haven’t seen in the market place.”
The units will consist of a one-bedroom condo on the terrace level and two, two-bedroom condos on the upper levels. Like the carriage house, the condos will have huge open spaces, large bedrooms and chef kitchens.
