The former chief financial officer for Uber and Virgin Hyperloop is the new owner of one of the priciest homes sold in the DC region this year.
Brent Callinicos, whose past roles include serving as the CFO of Uber and Hyperloop One, purchased the 16,000 square-foot McLean home of former Washington Capital Nicklas Backstrom in early January for $11 million.
The former center for the Washington hockey team listed the seven-bedroom home last summer with Sherif Abdalla and Ali Farhadov of Compass. Backstrom purchased the home after it was built in 2021 for $8.5 million.
