Dan Snyder's former Potomac mansion has been auctioned off to the highest bidder. And all things considered, it looks like a deal.
On Thursday, the 30,000 square foot home along the Potomac River once owned by the former Washington Commanders owner was auctioned for $13.26 million, a far cry from the nearly $50 million it was once listed for. Concierge Auctions conducted the auction.
As we have noted in previous articles, it has been a long road for the former Snyder estate. The home was first listed for sale privately in 2018 for $49 million. It then came on the market, publicly for the same price in 2023; a year later, the price dropped to $34.9 million.
In 2024, the former Washington Commanders owner donated the property to the American Cancer Society, and a few months later, the organization put it back on the market. About a month ago, news came that the home would be auctioned off.
The estate, built in 2004, sits on 16 acres, and includes a main five-bedroom house as well as a two-bedroom guesthouse, a basketball court, a 12-car garage, and a pool.
Now the question is, who is the lucky new owner?
