The development plans keep coming to Tysons Corner.
The Washington Post recently reported that real estate firm Capital Automotive has proposed 4.4 million square feet of residential and commercial development along Spring Hill Road on the south side of Leesburg Pike (map). The residential component of the development calls for four, possible five, multi-family buildings between 19 and 22 stories tall. Dominion Hill, as the new development has been dubbed, would be within walking distance of the future Tysons West Metro station on the Silver Line.
From The Post:
On a separate property to the east, the company has proposed 1.4 million square feet of office space, a hotel and one residential building with an option for another. In all, Capital Automotive proposed 2,000 new homes.
Two other developers, Perseus Realty and Sunburst Hospitality, have submitted their plans in concert with Capital Automotive’s, for a triangular-shaped property the firms own between the two dealership sites. Mark Adamo, senior vice president of development for Perseus Realty, said the companies are planning 1.8 million square feet of development and that an apartment building is likely to be the first thing built.
The new planned development would join several other developments on the boards for Tyson’s.
