In this week’s edition of Best New Listings, UrbanTurf looks at a Takoma Park colonial, a renovated townhouse in Georgetown, and, for the second time, an updated condo in Bloomingdale.

A Victorian Condo in Bloomingdale — For a Second Time
UrbanTurf covered this two-level Bloomingale unit in Best New Listings back in 2011, and it still warrants the “best” tag three years later. The open kitchen and living space in the 1,024-square-foot condo is well thought-out, with plenty of windows and an open staircase that lets light continue unabated into the middle of the home. Upstairs is a loft with a large skylight. The price tag is higher than it was back in 2011, but we suspect the final sales price will still go above that.

A Takoma Park Colonial with a Bright Color Palette
This Takoma Park, Md. colonial revival has great curb appeal, and inside the home is decorated with tasteful but brightly colored walls. The kitchen and basement could use a little love, but overall UrbanTurf really likes the look and feel of this family home in the barely-burbs of Takoma Park.

A Georgetown Renovation
This three-bedroom, 2.5-bath townhouse in Georgetown has undergone a high-end renovation: while the original windows and doors remain, the home now has a new gourmet kitchen and a multi-level patio. The master suite has both a fireplace and a large walk-in closet, and there is a finished lower level with a bedroom and two entrances. UrbanTurf particualrly liked the white wood floors throughout, as well as the office set-up. The home is available to be shown by appointment only.
