The County Board approvals on Saturday were two-fold. It approved the rezoning of one of the three parcels from an R-6 single-family dwelling district to a Columbia Pike-Form Based Code district. The board also approved the plan to construct a six-story, 365-unit apartment building with a total of 81,530 square feet of ground-floor retail, including a 50,000 square-foot grocery store. Adjacent to the building will be a 22,150 square-foot public square which will feature art, a garden, and a water feature. The project will also have three levels of underground parking totaling 604 spaces.
KGD Architects designed the development.
