This Wednesday, Allegro Apartments in Columbia Heights will have its grand opening…with a twist. To promote the new development, Allegro ran a contest where it asked the general public to submit recipes for a signature cocktail called the Velvet Allegro. On Wednesday night as people tour the apartments, the top three submissions will go up against three from bartenders at participating restaurants and the winning cocktail will be featured at DC-area restaurants and bars for the next month.
Even though the cocktail competition may seem like the main event tomorrow night, the evening, sponsored by Grey Goose and OnTap, is also a chance to have a cocktail and check out the apartments that Allegro has to offer. The monthly rents for studios start at $1525/month, one-bedrooms at $1,775/month and two-bedrooms at $2,450/month. (The development is offering two months free rent and will waive a $500 fee if you move in prior to May 31st.) For more details, see below.
