Over the last year, UrbanTurf has regularly reported on Potomac Yard: an ambitious mixed-use community covering 167 acres in Alexandria, Virginia. Potomac Yard is slated for completion in 2016, but developer Pulte Homes has already made huge strides toward the completion of both the community’s Potomac Yard Park and a variety of townhomes, with more than 100 homeowners currently living in the community. Pulte anticipates that more than 100 additional homeowners will move in by the end of the year.
When it is fully built out, Potomac Yard Park will be the largest park in the city of Alexandria and will offer nearly a mile of amenities over 24 acres. Phase one will be dedicated to the city in September and features two ponds, an amphitheater for outdoor performances, two playgrounds, six athletic courts (volleyball, basketball, tennis), jogging and biking trails, and a considerable amount of green space.

The most recently opened residential potion of Potomac Yard is called Landbay L and includes two-level condominiums and three-to-four-level townhomes. The condominiums range from 1,700 to 2,800 square feet and are priced from the $600s; the townhomes span 2,300 to 3,600 square feet and start in the $900s. Both housing types feature a variety of architectural influences and designs, mimicking Old Town Alexandria’s unique mix of historic and modern homes.

Also available in Landbay L is an exclusive collection of luxury four-level townhomes ranging from 3,600 to 4,200 square feet and priced from approximately $1.2+ million. Each includes large, open spaces for entertaining; dual rec rooms on the entry and upper levels; formal dining rooms; private guest suites; and modern architectural details.
Potomac Yard is located along Jefferson Davis Highway between Old Town Alexandria and Crystal City (map), within walking distance of the Braddock Road Metro, less than 10 minutes to Reagan National Airport, and just three miles from DC. The development will bring 1.8 million square feet of office space, 325,000 square feet of retail, 1,683 residential units and 300 hotel rooms to Alexandria.
To learn more about Potomac Yard, you can visit the community webpage or contact Pulte Homes at 571.970.4043. Potomac Yard is open daily from 11-6.
