A Tastee Development: 500-Unit Building Pitched For Tastee Diner Site in Silver Spring
The Tastee Diner location in Silver Spring closed at the end of March following a nearly 80-year run. The plans for what will be constructed at the site along Georgia Avenue were unveiled last night, and the diner building will be incorporated.
Roadside Development presented its sketch plan to the public on Tuesday night for a new high-rise residential development with up to 525 apartments at 8676 Georgia Avenue and 8601 Cameron Street (map).

The plans for the development are in the nascent stages, but as of now, Roadside intends to preserve a good portion of the diner car and work it into the development.
The developer plans to go before the Montgomery County Planning Board in the fall.
