A Month's Free Rent At The Chicest Apartments on 14th Street

When Capitol View on 14th opened at the end of October 2012, its reputation was already fortified. The 9-story luxury apartment building, which occupies a full city block on 14th Street NW north of U Street (map), dazzled passersby with a custom-made Dale Chihuly glass sculpture in the lobby, and a slew of bespoke details and amenities that attracted a discerning set of Washingtonians.
By December 2012, a steady stream of renters had leased up one-third of the homes in U Street’s newest residential building. With just under 100 units available, Capitol View on 14th is now offering one month’s free rent for apartments on the property’s first three floors.
The apartments at Capitol View consist of studios, one-bedroom lofts, one-bedrooms with dens, and two-bedroom/two-bath units. The homes have high-end finishes including stainless steel appliances, espresso-colored wood cabinetry, quartz countertops, bamboo flooring, and ceramic tile in the kitchens and baths. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the apartments with natural light, while rolled solar shades afford privacy and respite from the sun. Most homes at Capitol View have custom closets in the master bedroom, and each comes standard with a full-sized washer and dryer. To achieve a Platinum LEED certification, Capitol View used ENERGY STAR appliances throughout and installed a highly energy efficient Daikin heating cooling system.
Amenities like a rooftop with a fountain, fireplace, green space, clubroom and a pool overlooking downtown DC are what set Capitol View apart from the city’s older set of apartment buildings. Capitol View also has both a 24-hour fitness center and a yoga studio on its second level. Personal trainers will be on hand for residents in 2013, and yoga classes will begin later this month. Rounding out the amenities are a business center, conference room and gaming room (with Wii and Xbox) on the second level, and a 24-hour concierge and a clubroom that can be rented out for private events on the street level.
Capitol View is walking distance from popular restaurants and boutique shops in the U Street Corridor, Adams Morgan, Columbia Heights and the growing 9th Street commercial area. For commuters, or those who enjoy getting out of the city on the weekends, the building also has underground, reserved garage parking for $250 a month.
If you are interested in renting an apartment at Capitol View, or in taking a personal tour, our offices are open daily. Please call the front desk concierge at 202.588.0472 and ask for the leasing office, or email CapitolViewOn14th@UDR.com. You may also visit the website to learn more.
