A portion of George Washington's Mount Vernon estate will soon hit the market.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the 16.5-acre property along the banks of the Potomac will be listed with TTR Sotheby's International Realty for $60 million, making it the most expensive home to ever be listed in Alexandria.

The home, located at 7979 East Boulevard Drive, is currently owned by Robert Stevens and Michelle Stevens. Stevens is the former CEO of Lockheed Martin.

The listing includes a 16,000 square-foot main house, as well as a three-bedroom guesthouse, plus a carriage house and expansive gardens.
