36-Unit Apartment Building to Replace Abandoned Home in Deanwood

Add another missing middle project to the growing list of these developments in the DC region. 

United General Contractors has filed plans with DC's Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) to replace an abandoned house in Deanwood with a 36-unit apartment building. The proposed development, designed by RAM Design, would be located at 4915 Quarles Street NE (map), about a block away from the Deanwood Recreation Center. 

The market-rate apartment project would consist of studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, and would adhere to the city's Inclusionary Zoning requirements. There will be ten off-street parking spaces in the back of the development.
