This installment of Above Asking revisits three listings recently featured in UrbanTurf, including a home that sold in Woodley Park at a $350,000 premium.

A Nearly $90,000 Premium for an Arlington Four-Bedroom

This four-bedroom, with its wraparound porch, was on the market for just under a week before a buyer snapped it up for $90,000 above the original asking price. Past the foyer with its decorative fireplace, the living room has a ceiling that pitches above a gas fireplace splitting the dining area and the family room. The kitchen has a pantry wall above stainless steel drawers, and the two-sided staircase eventually leads up to a top-level bonus room with a desk nook and beadboard walls beneath a cove ceiling. The house also has a rear deck, a lower level rec room, and a detached garage.

$55,000 Above Asking for an Arlington Bungalow

Five days after hitting the market in March, this Arlington bungalow found a buyer willing to pay a $55,000 premium on the original list price. The home has a quaint front porch along with an extensive back deck. A garage on the property could serve as a workspace, gym, or office. UrbanTurf's favorite feature is the sun-drenched kitchen, which has white marble countertop space and a crisp subway tile backsplash

$350,000 Above Asking For Six-Bedroom Woodley Home

This Woodley Park home attracted a lot of attention from buyers when it hit the market earlier this month, and that is reflected in the final sales price which is $350,000 higher than the original list price. UrbanTurf’s favorite aspect of the listing might be the spacious library near the front of the home, which features several windows and a fireplace. When the new owner wants some privacy, or is looking for some rental income, there is a separate one-bedroom English basement apartment in the basement. This modern unit comes with an independent Certificate of Occupancy and has private entrances in the front and back.
